Mango Milkshake


Preparation time: 5 mins



  • Ripe mangoes -2 (I used alphonse mangoes)
  • Milk-1 cup
  • honey-2 tbsp
  • sugar-for taste
  • ice cubes-few

How to prepare:

  • Blend all the ingredients together in a juicer until there are no lumps.
  • Serve chilled.
  • You can add grated cashews or almonds for garnishing.

Mixed Sprouts Gravy


Preparation time:10 mins

Cooking time:15 -20 mins

Serves :4


  • Mixed sprouts-1 cup
  • potatoes-cubed 1
  • onions-finely chopped 2
  • green chilli-finely chopped 1
  • garlic-minced 4 to 5 cloves
  • turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  • chilli powder-1 tsp
  • malwani masala-1 tsp (optional)
  • salt-for taste
  • mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
  • cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
  • coriander leaves-finely chopped for garnishing
  • oil

How to prepare:

  • Boil sprouts with little salt and turmeric powder until it gets cooked.You can even pressure cook it.
  • In a wok heat oil,add mustard and cumin seeds,let it splutter.
  • Add garlic and saute for few seconds.
  • Add onions and saute until it becomes slight brown.
  • Add all the spice powders and mix well.
  • Add the cooked sprouts to this and add the leftover stock in which the pulses were cooked.
  • Add potato pieces.Close and cook for 10 mins.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.

Veg Cheese Sandwhich


Prepration time :10 mins

Cooking time :7 mins

Serves :2


  • Bread slices-6
  • onion-1
  • carrots-1
  • tomatoes-1
  • potato-1 boiled
  • capsicum-1
  • beetroot-1
  • butter-2 tbsp
  • cheese-for garnishing
  • salt

For chutney:

  • coriander leaves- 1 cup
  • green chilli-1
  • cumin seeds-few
  • salt
  • water

How to prepare:

  • Blend all the items together given under chutney ingredients into a smooth paste.
  • Cut all the veggies into round slices.
  • Apply butter over the bread slices followed by green chutney.
  • Arrange veggies on top and close it with another slice of bread.
  • Toast it for 3 to 4 mins .
  • After removing it from toaster,apply butter,tomato sauce and green chutney evenly on the top surface.
  • Add grated cheese on top.

Cutlet with banana stem n flower


Preparation time: 10 mins

cooking time 15 mins

Serves -3


  • Banana stem -grated 1/2 cup
  • Banana flower – grated 1/2 cup
  • Potatoes -boiled and smashed 1 large
  • beetroor-grated 1/2 cup
  • frozen peas-boiled 1/4 cup
  • cumin seeds-few
  • turmeric powder-1/4tsp
  • black pepper powder-1 tbsp
  • garam masala powder-1 tsp
  • salt-for taste
  • eggs- 2
  • bread crumbs-1/2 cup
  • oil-for frying

How to prepare:

  • Heat oil in a wok.Add cumin seeds,let it splutter.
  • Add grated banana flower and stem and saute for 2-3 mins.
  • Add grated beetroots and boiled peas annd saute until it becomes soft .
  • Add turmeric powder,pepper powder,garam masala powder and salt and mix well.
  • Add smashed potatoes and mix well.smash the mixture with a spoon laddle.
  • Keep it aside ,let it cool for sometime.
  • Shape the mix into oval shaped small pieces.
  • Dip the pieces in beaten egg mix first and then roll it over bread crumbs so that all the surfaces are covered well,this makes the cutlet crispy.
  • Deep fry it.Serve with tomato ketchup.

Pav Bhaji


Preparation time:15 mins

cooking time: 15 mins




  • boiled potatoes- 2 large
  • onions-2 large
  • tomatoes- 2
  • carrots- 1
  • capsicum-1
  • green peas boiled- 1/2 cup
  • green chilli- 1 finely chopped
  • red chilli powder-1 tsp
  • turmeric powder-1/2 ┬átsp
  • pav bhaji masala- 2 tbsp
  • cumin seeds- 1 tsp
  • lime juice – 1 tsp
  • coriander leaves- few for garnishing
  • butter
  • oil
  • pav

How to prepare:

  • Boil potatoes green peas and carrots and keep aside.
  • In a wok heat oil,add cumin seeds,let it splutter.
  • Add onions and saute for 2 to 3 mins.Add chopped tomatoes and saute untill it turns mushy.
  • Add all the spice powders and mix well.
  • Now add all the veggies and mix well.You can either mash the veggies with a spoon laddle or blend it in a mixer after cooling it for some time.
  • Cook the mashed veggies along with little water.
  • Add lime juie and garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve it with pav toasted in butter and put a slice of butter on top of the bhaji while serving.

chicken chilli



  • Boneless chicken pieces- 1 cup
  • bell peppers- 2 vertically chopped
  • Onion- 2 cut into cubes
  • garlic-finely chopped 1 tbsp
  • spring onion leaves-few
  • soya sauce-1 tbsp
  • green chilli sauce- 1 tbsp
  • red chilli sauce- 1 tbsp
  • corn flour-1 cup
  • black pepper powder- 1 tsp
  • salt- for taste
  • oil

How to prepare:

  • To marinate chicken pieces,in a bowl take chicken pices,1/2 cup corn flour,salt,pepper powder,ginger garlic paste and soya sauce.
  • keep it in refrigerator for 1/2 an hour.
  • Deep fry the chicken pieces and keep it aside to drain excess oil.
  • In a wok heat oil, add garlic and saute.
  • Add onion and bell pepper and saute for few mins.It should be crisp enough.
  • Add soya sauce,chilli sauce and salt and mix well.
  • Mix 1 tbsp of corn flour in 1/4 cup water and add it to the wok.
  • Now add the fried chicken pieces to it and mix well.
  • If you want more gravy you can add little water .
  • Garnish it with spring onion leaves.

Masala toast


Preparation time:10 mins

Cooking time 10 mins

Serves : 4


  • Bread slices-5-6
  • Onion-1 large finely chopped
  • Carrots-1 grated
  • green chillies- finely chopped 2
  • eggs -3
  • pepper powder-1 1/2 tsp
  • chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
  • salt- for taste
  • oil

How to prepare:

  • In a bowl take 3 beaten eggs , to this add all the ingredients except bread and oil.
  • Cut bread loafes into triangular slices.
  • Heat a tawa and spread oil on it.
  • Dip each slices in this mixture and after placing it in tawa add a spoon full of mix on top of it.
  • Toast both sides the same way.
