° Rajma – 250 gms
° Rice- 1 cup
° Onions- 1 large finely sliced
° Green chillies – 2 slit vertically
° Ginger garlic paste – 1tsp
° Ginger juliens- few
° Coriander leaves – 1 tsp
° red chilli powder- 1 tsp
° turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
° coriander powder- 1 tsp
° cumin powder-1 tsp
° garam masala powder-1tsp°
° salt- for taste
° lime juice -1 tsp
° Soak rice in water for 15 mins, drain and keep aside.
°Soak rajma for few hours, boil in pressure cooker drain and keep aside. Keep the rajma stock aside.
°Heat oil in a pan. Add onions, green chillies n ginger julliens and saute. Add ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell goes.
°Add salt and all the spice powders and sprinkle little water so that all the spices blend well. Add rajma and its stock. You can even add water if you dont have stock. Let it boil.
°Add coriander leaves and mix well. Layer the drained rice on top of it sprinkle few coriander leaves and little garam masala powder, close and cook until the rice is done.
°Add lime juice and mix well.
° bread- 10 loafs
° milk – 1/2 cup
° sugar- 1 cup
° cardamom seeds- few
° water- 2 cups
° oil- for frying
° Cut the edges of bread and keep it aside.
° In a bowl add milk, dip the bread slices in milk and squeeze it and roll it all together into a dough form.
° Make small balls out of it and deep fry these balls.
° In a vessel add 2 cups of water and 1 cup sugar and cardamom seeds and boil it to thick consistency.
° let it cool. Add d fried balls into it. You can cool it and serve.
•Green papaya – grated
•small onion / shallots-finely chopped
•garlic – 6 to 8 cloves
•grated coconut -1/2 cup
•cumin seeds-1 tsp
•green chillies-3 chopped
•turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
•dry red chilli-1
•salt-as per taste
•Heat oil in a wok.Add mustard seeds,dry red chilli and curry leaves.
•Add onions and saute.
•Add grated papaya and saute in high flame until the water content evaporates.
•Add turmeric powder and salt.
•Mix grated coconut,cumin seeds n garlic pods in a blender jst to mix it, it should be in coarse consistency.
•Add this mixture to papaya and saute for sometime.
*Mutton- 1/2 kg
*Onions- 2 finely diced
*Tomatoes- 1 finely chopped
*Ginger , garlic- minced
*Green chillies- 2 vertically slit
*Bay leaf -1
*cinamon stick- 1 small
*Red chilli powder- 2 tsp
*Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
*coriander powder-2 tsp
*pepper powder-2 tsp
*garam masala-1 tbsp
*lime juice- 1 tsp
*coriander leaves- for garnishing
*Heat oil in a vessel.Add bay leaves and cinamon stick. Add minced ginger and garlic and green chillies.Saute little.
*Add onions and saute until it becomes translucent.Add salt and turmeric powder, tomatoes and add mutton pieces and little water and close and cook for sometime.
*In a separate pan dry roat red chilli powder coriander powder and garam masala.
*Add this roasted masala to mutton and add pepper powder and mix well.
*When mutton is cooked add lime juice and garnish with coriander leaves.
This recepie is one of the favourite tea time snack.Quick and easy to make.
•fresh corn kernels-1 cup
•maida/plain flour- 2tbsp
•rice flour- 1 tbsp
•ginger garlic chilli paste-1 tsp
•red chilli powder- 1 tsp
•turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
•hing/ asafoetida- a pinch
•salt-as per taste
•Coarsely grind kernels into paste.
•In a bowl mix this paste and all the above ingredients and mix well.
•Make small ball sized dumplings.
•Heat oil in a wok. Deep fry these dumplings.
•serve hot with mint chutney or tomato ketchup.
Tawa pulao is a North Indian dish. Its spicy and delicious.You can add veggies of your choice.
•Rice – 1 1/2 cups
•vegetables -carrots, potato,beans boiled.
•capsicum -2 cut into smal pieces
•tomatoes -1 finely chopped
•onions – 2 finely chopped
•cumin seeds- 1 tsp
•red chilli powder- 1 1/2 tsp
•turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
•dry red chilli- 2
•pav bhaji masala – 2 tsp
salt- as per taste
•Wash n soak rice for 10 mins. Cook rice to 3/4th .Drain and cool.
•heat oil in a vessel.add cumin seeds dry red chilli and little asafoetida. let it splutter.
•add oniions, saute until it becomes translucent. add capsicum and saute fr sometime.
•add turmeric powder,chilli powder,salt and pav bhaji masala and mix well.
•add boiled veggies , mix well and saute for some time.
•add cooked rice and mix well.
•add little lime juice and few chopped coriander leaves and mix.
•spicy n delicious tawa pulao is ready to serve.
